Barbara Kruger: Untitled (Pride and Contempt)
A 90-meter text mural wraps the façade of the National Library of Greece, flanked by installations running both banks of the SNFCC Canal. Barbara Kruger has translated her vocabulary of power, belief, and public language into Greek for the first time — thirteen site-specific works commissioned by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation for the cultural center's outdoor spaces. This is Kruger's first solo exhibition in Greece, curated by Katerina Stathopoulou.

The lawn at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) flattens into a field of blankets as the light goes amber over the coast, and the screen at the far end waits for the sky to finish dimming. This is *Park Your Cinema*, the open-air summer film series on the SNFCC lawn — and this screening is built so that no one has to sit still or stay quiet to take part. The film is *School of Rock* (2003), Richard Linklater's comedy with Jack Black as Dewey Finn, a broke guitarist who bluffs his way into a substitute-teaching job at a buttoned-up prep school and turns his ten-year-old students into a working rock band.

By 22 July 2026 the film already exists in pieces. Three earlier workshop sessions have each animated a stretch of it, passing the story along like a relay, and this evening at the Pine Grove (Πευκώνας) of Stavros Niarchos Park — the last of the four — runs the final leg.
Park Your Cinema 2026: Dreamgirls (2006)
In her film debut, Jennifer Hudson — fresh from a Season 3 American Idol run — delivers 'And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going' midway through Bill Condon's *Dreamgirls* and wins the 2007 Best Supporting Actress Oscar for it. The film plays under the open sky at SNFCC on Friday 24 July 2026, part of Park Your Cinema's 11th edition and the 2026 'Musicals under the stars' slate. Adapted from the 1981 Broadway musical, *Dreamgirls* tracks the rise of a 1960s Detroit girl group — the Dreamettes, later the Dreams — through the engine of a Motown-modelled label and the cost paid by the singer pushed to the back.
Park Your Cinema Kids: Ώρα για Σερφ (2007)
A documentary crew trails a small-town penguin chasing surf glory — that is the conceit of *Surf's Up*, the 2007 animated mockumentary screening on the Great Lawn of the SNFCC on 25 July 2026. Watched beside the actual sea, its faux-vintage footage of wipeouts and wave culture lands differently than it does on a living-room couch. *Surf's Up* earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature, the rare children's film built as a spoof of the sports documentary — handheld, talking-heads, mid-interview.

After dark on 29 July 2026, Stavros Niarchos Park stops being a place you stroll through and becomes a board you have to read. Somewhere along the canal a clue is waiting; the next is folded into a corner of the grounds you have walked past without ever looking.
Silent Disco πάρτι και Face Painting
From the edge of the Mediterranean Garden it looks like a field of people dancing to silence — rows of headphones glowing in the dark, bodies moving in loose agreement to a beat you cannot hear until you put a set on. This is the Silent Disco at SNFCC (ΚΠΙΣΝ), and on the night of the July full moon it takes over the garden while the rest of Stavros Niarchos Park stays awake around it. The format is simple and a little surreal: two DJs broadcast different sets at once, and a button on each headset lets you switch between them.
Full Moon Sleepover
On the night of Wednesday 29 July 2026 the July full moon climbs over Stavros Niarchos Park and, for once, the gates never close. The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center stays awake until sunrise: people carry blankets onto the lawn, claim a patch of grass before dark, and settle in for a night of films, headphones, and water that does not stop until the yoga mats appear at six the next morning. Full Moon Sleepover returns for a fourth summer, and the 2026 edition builds its all-night program around a Steven Spielberg film marathon on the open-air screen.
