Περιγραφή στα Αγγλικά
Johannes Rosmer is childless, widowed and the last of his line, alone in a house heavy with history, thin on present and almost without future. Yiannis Chouvardas translates, adapts and directs Henrik Ibsen's Rosmersholm, and 12 November 2026 is opening night of a run that closes on 20 December. Giorgos Glastras, Simos Kakalas, Iro Beza, Angela Brousku, Argyris Xafis and Yiannis Charis work through two hours and ten minutes in which nothing is settled by action and everything by what two people finally admit.
The Frynichou stage stands at Frynichou 14 in Plaka, a short walk from Akropoli metro station. Curtain moves with the day: Wednesdays start ninety minutes earlier than Thursdays, and Saturdays carry two performances, at 17:30 and 21:00.
If you want a plot that moves, this late Ibsen advances by conversation and inference. But if you want to watch a household argue itself apart, Rosmersholm is built for it.
Theatro Technis opened in 1942 with Ibsen and returns to him here for six weeks.
