Twenty-four still drawings, played in a second, become a single walking figure. At the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, kids aged 7 to 12 learn exactly how that trick is built — frame by frame, working toward a short film of their own.

The workshops are run with ANIMASYROS, Greece's international animation festival, and ASIFA Hellas. This year's films, made on the theme of water, screen at the SNFCC Green Weekend and then travel to ANIMASYROS in September — so what the children make here reaches a real festival audience.

Expect an open, no-ticket session on the evening of 17 June, held outdoors across the Pefkona grove and Esplanade as the park cools after the summer heat. Sessions run two hours and places are limited.
