Περιγραφή στα Αγγλικά
In Motion: Ena Agalma pou to Skase is a children's theater performance in the foyer of the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus, running Sundays through April 5, 2026. A figure stands perfectly still in the center of a neoclassical hall. Then it blinks.
Flux For Art's production began at the National Sculpture Museum, where the boundary between exhibit and performer was the premise. In this new staging at the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus, Eleni Michailidou plays Celine — a young art collector — opposite Stratis Ntalagiorgos as Bien, a statue that escaped its museum to chase fame. Director Danai Mega uses the theatre's own foyer rather than the main stage, with scenography by Nikol Oikonomidou that folds the building's architecture into the narrative. Expect seventy minutes exploring friendship, memory, and the experience of giving life to things you love. Suitable for ages four and up.
If your child needs fast spectacle to stay engaged, this moves at museum speed — careful, deliberate, built on detail. But if they are the kind who stares at objects in galleries and invents stories about what those objects think, this show was written for them.
The Municipal Theatre of Piraeus is at Iroon Polytechneiou 32, accessible via Piraeus metro. Sundays at 11:00. Tickets six to ten euros.
A show that originated inside a sculpture museum and then escaped to a theater — which is exactly what the statue does.
