Περιγραφή στα Αγγλικά
A box opens on stage and forty handmade puppets take turns crossing continents. The Paramythochora puppet troupe, based year-round at Anapafseos 14 in Mets, brings its touring production to Theater 104 in Gazi — a converted industrial space three minutes on foot from Kerameikos metro. Five folk fairy tales from around the world stitch together through narration, shadow theater, and animation. Performers M. and Sp. Papagiorgiu work the puppets in the Paramythochora house style, which combines manipulation with live acting. Music by D. Oikonomakis carries the transitions.
If your child sits still only for screens, sixty minutes of moving objects in real light may surprise both of you. But if you want a first introduction to puppetry that takes folk stories seriously as stories, this is a company that has built its practice around exactly that.
Runtime 60 minutes. Curtain at 12:30. Tickets 11 EUR through more.com.
Forty puppets, five stories, sixty minutes — a story-to-minute ratio tighter than most features.
