Most screenings ask you to sit still in the dark and stay quiet. This one is built on the opposite premise. As part of Park Your Cinema Kids, the open-air summer film series at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), this is a sensory-friendly screening of The Parent Trap (Didymoi Belades, 1998): the sound is kept lower, the lights are not fully dropped, and children are free to move, talk, or step out and come back.
The 1998 film stars Lindsay Lohan as twins separated at birth who meet by chance at summer camp and scheme to reunite their parents — a warm, low-stakes comedy for an audience watching on its own terms.
If you need a silent, fixed-seat cinema, this is not that. But if you want a film night a sensory-sensitive child can actually settle into, the adapted format is the point.
The SNFCC is reachable by tram and bus along the coast. Admission is open, no ticket required — the volume turned down so more kids can stay to the end.
