Περιγραφή στα Αγγλικά
I Panagia ton Parision is a dramatized adaptation of Victor Hugo's novel at Theatron in Tavros, Athens, running through 26 April 2026. The Antigone auditorium seats nine hundred and fifty with a full-depth stage and production equipment built for theatrical spectacle.
Directed and adapted by K. Nikolaidi, a cast of seven led by T. Chalkias stages Hugo's 1831 medieval Paris — Quasimodo isolated in the bell tower, Esmeralda in the streets below, Frollo between faith and obsession. The production runs one hundred and fifteen minutes.
If you want experimental minimalism, this is full-scale production theater in a purpose-built hall. If you want a classic novel given the staging resources to match its scale, this is the room.
Theatron is at Pireos 254, Tavros. Tickets EUR 12-20 through more.com. Showtimes run mornings and afternoons on select dates — check the schedule, as performances are not daily.
Hugo wrote the novel to save the cathedral from demolition. The building survived. The story has outlasted both.
