Two decades in, Cantina Social remains the Psirri hold-out at the end of a short alley, no sign on the door — indie, dance and dub-reggae records spun small and close, a knowing crowd and cheap drinks that have outlasted every wave of rebranding around it.

If you want a polished room with a guest list, this was never that bar. If you want the version of Psirri before it became a postcard, this anniversary date is worth the wait.
