Duo Duende

Duo Duende is a chamber music concert at Odeio Filippos Nakas in Exarchia, Athens, on 6 March 2026. A saxophone phrase opens and a piano answers across a program spanning three centuries.

Dimitrios Melas on saxophone and Mario Kaza on piano perform Echoes of Romance and Myth — From Singelée to Rizzo, tracing Romantic-era repertoire through contemporary works. The hall on Ippokratous 41 seats fewer than two hundred — close enough to hear the reed shift between registers.

If you want amplified sound, Nakas works on a different scale. If you want saxophone and piano where you hear the breath between notes, this is that room.
