Sabaton close Release Athens 2026 on 25 July, four years after the Swedish power-metal band first played this open-air ground at Plateia Nerou. They headline a heavy bill that also brings Savatage back to Athens after years away, alongside Dutch symphonic-metal act Epica.

The set lands on the "Legends" tour — the band's eleventh album — which pairs the new material with the war-history anthems Sabaton built its name on: massed choruses, pyrotechnics, a crowd that sings every hook back.

Plateia Nerou is Release Athens' coastal open-air site on the Faliro front; the 18:30 start means the sun is still on the crowd when the first band plays. Metro and tram both reach the seafront.
