Vasilis Gkofas is a guitarist working where Greek folk meets contemporary composition. On 31 May 2026 he brings his new album Sevgi to Baumstrasse in Botanikos, joined on stage by vocalist Dimitra Tsagkaraki.

Sevgi is Gkofas's post-folk statement: songs built on odd meters and traditional dance rhythms, then bent out of shape by poetic devices and structural shifts. The record is new, and this date sets it before an audience close to its release — in a second-floor room small enough to hear every articulation in the playing.

Expect a listening crowd rather than a singalong, and a 21:00 start; admission is 12 EUR. Come for the writing, not the spectacle.
