One perpetually hungry servant takes a job with two different masters on the same day, then spends the rest of the afternoon sprinting between them so neither discovers the other. That engine drives Ένας υπηρέτης, δύο αφεντικά, Richard Bean's contemporary British rewrite of Carlo Goldoni's commedia dell'arte classic, here directed and translated by Thanos Tokakis.

Giorgos Chrysostomou returns to comedy in the central role, with Grigoria Metheniti, Giannis Kapeleris, Argyris Gkaganis, Lydia Stefou and Nikos Iatrou. The 90-minute show fuses commedia slapstick with British farce; Bean's version was a flagship hit at Britain's National Theatre.

If you want subtle, understated drama, this physical comedy plays louder than that. But if you want timing, disguise and engineered chaos, it delivers.
