MÉTRON Stage took over the old Hoxton space in Gazi — industrial lines, pop-art touches — and tonight hands the room to the ensembles of the Pop Professional Program, the pop track run by LAB Music Education with Rotterdam's Codarts conservatory.

It's a live showcase, not a single act: the program's bands play a full evening of pop sets, the end-of-year proof of a conservatory-grade curriculum. Expect tight, rehearsed playing from musicians training to do this for a living.

If you want a headliner and a fixed setlist, look elsewhere. If you want to hear Athens's next working pop players, admission is open. MÉTRON Stage is on Voutadon in Gazi, a short walk from Kerameikos metro.
