The lawn fills before the sky does: blankets, picnic bags, kids claiming patches of grass on the Ξέφωτο at the SNFCC (ΚΠΙΣΝ). At 21:00 on Saturday 22 August 2026, Park Your Cinema Kids screens Ο Δελφινομικρούλης (Dolphin Boy, 2022), Mohammad Kheirandish's animated feature about a boy raised by dolphins after a plane crash strands him at sea — until an octopus disturbs the peace. Dubbed in Greek, 88 minutes, winner of the animation prize at Iran's national film awards.

Park Your Cinema Kids is the open-air summer series the Athens International Children's Film Festival curates on the ΚΠΙΣΝ lawn — ten films from late May to early September, admission open, supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Regulars bring insect repellent and something soft to sit on; the grass is the seating.

If your children need armrests and air conditioning, an August lawn won't provide them. But as a first cinema memory under open sky, expect this to hold them — Δελφινομικρούλης surfaces on the Ξέφωτο for one night.
