ΘΕΟΦΙΛΟΣ Sold
An actor picks up a brush and becomes Theofilos Hatzimichail — the self-taught painter who covered Lesvos and mainland walls in folk scenes for bread and small change, ridiculed alive and revered dead. That transformation drives «Theofilos Sold», a tragicomedy for all ages by Samson Raka, directed by Olia Lazaridou, drawing on folk-performance and circus craft.
McNeal
A novelist within reach of the Nobel Prize watches his words — his face, his voice, his memory — become raw material for machines. Ayad Akhtar's McNeal arrived at Lincoln Center in 2024 as Robert Downey Jr.'s Broadway debut; on 7 October 2026 it gets its Greek premiere at Neos Akadimos (Νέος Ακάδημος) in central Athens, with Pygmalion Dadakaridis in the title role. Dadakaridis comes off two seasons of 'The Whale' and works for the first time with director Christos Sougaris.
Ο ΕΒΡΟΣ ΑΠΕΝΑΝΤΙ
Four broke Greeks, clinging to the bottom rung of a prosperity that left them behind, find their fragile routine upended when a Kurdish refugee turns up among them. From that collision «O Evros Apenanti» pulls its racism, its alienation, and its hard laughs.
Kontakthof
Twenty-three performers, aged 21 to 55, line up at the front of the stage and present themselves to you — straightening a collar, fixing a smile, waiting to be chosen. This is Kontakthof, Pina Bausch's 1978 dance-theatre study of courtship, tenderness and small cruelties, now staged by an all-Greek company 37 years after the work first played the Herodion. The revival carries unusual weight: it is the National Theatre's first collaboration with the Pina Bausch Foundation, under the direction of Josephine Ann Endicott, an original 1978 cast member, and Daphni Kokkinou.
ΕΝΟΙΚΙΑΖΕΤΑΙ
The title is the sign on the apartment door: ΕΝΟΙΚΙΑΖΕΤΑΙ — for rent. Nefeli Maistrali's new romantic comedy premieres Saturday 10 October 2026 at Theatro Mikro Chorn on Amerikis 10, directed by Thanasis Zeritis, with Panagiotis Exarcheas and Maria Chanou as a couple whose three years together unfold inside a rented Kypseli apartment. Maistrali and Zeritis arrive as a proven pair — «Σπυριδούλες», «Κακούργα πεθερά», «Αριστερόχειρες» — and point the method at the housing crisis: viewings, deposits and square metres as the third presence in a two-hander, the relationship and the lease running out together. Performances run Saturday at 18:00, Sunday to Tuesday at 20:00.
Ο Κύριος Ζυλ - 2ος Χρόνος
**What it is.** Thomas Moschopoulos takes Strindberg's "Miss Julie" and turns it inside out: he moves the action to interwar Europe and reverses the gender of the title role, so the aristocrat locked in a night-long duel with a servant is now a man, Kyrios Zyl. The production returns to Theatro Porta for a second season. **Why it matters.** Moschopoulos writes and directs, reading Strindberg's class-and-desire trap as a queer contest for dominance where every advantage costs something.
ΓΚΛΟΡΙΑ
An open-plan magazine office, and a row of editorial assistants who have each privately concluded they are the one who deserves the promotion. Branden Jacobs-Jenkins built ΓΚΛΟΡΙΑ out of that room — junior staff at a prestigious Manhattan magazine, fluent in each other's weaknesses — and then he breaks it, hard, at a moment the play gives you no warning about. Gloria was a finalist for the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama after its Off-Broadway debut at the Vineyard Theatre, and Second Stage has since announced it for Broadway.
Η ΣΥΓΚΑΤΟΙΚΟΣ
Theatro Peiraios 131 hands its Mondays and Tuesdays — the nights most Athens stages go dark — to «Η ΣΥΓΚΑΤΟΙΚΟΣ», the Greek premiere of Jen Silverman's The Roommate. Sharon, divorced and anchored in Iowa, needs a housemate for the bills; Robyn arrives from the Bronx with a past that will not stay packed.

Πώς κλείνω εισιτήρια θεάτρου στην Αθήνα;
Εισιτήρια θεάτρου μπορείτε να αγοράσετε μέσω Viva.gr, More.com και Ticket Services ή απευθείας από το ταμείο του θεάτρου. Δημοφιλείς παραστάσεις εξαντλούνται, ειδικά Σαββατοκύριακα. Κλείστε εισιτήρια τουλάχιστον 2-3 μέρες νωρίτερα για σίγουρη θέση.
Πότε είναι η θεατρική σεζόν στην Αθήνα;
Η κύρια θεατρική σεζόν ξεκινά τον Οκτώβριο και ολοκληρώνεται τον Μάιο. Κατά τους θερινούς μήνες λειτουργούν θερινές σκηνές και ανοιχτά θέατρα, ενώ το Φεστιβάλ Αθηνών Επιδαύρου (Ιούνιος-Αύγουστος) φέρνει διεθνείς παραγωγές στο Ηρώδειο.

Ο κώδικας ενδυμασίας εξαρτάται από τον χώρο. Στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής και το Ηρώδειο επιλέξτε smart casual ή επίσημο ντύσιμο. Σε μικρές σκηνές στα Εξάρχεια ή τον Κεραμεικό αρκεί casual ντύσιμο. Για ανοιχτά θέατρα το καλοκαίρι, πάρτε ένα ελαφρύ μπουφάν.
