Solo piano, no rhythm section, no horns — just Manos Saridakis and the keyboard for a full set at Jazzet Cafe. He is presenting The Greek Real Book, his first album, in a register he files as jazz, blues and ethnic.

The title plays on the Real Book, the standard jazz fake-book every player learns from; Saridakis writes a Greek one instead. Heard solo, the harmony has nowhere to hide — every chord choice is his.

Jazzet is a small Chaidari listening room west of the centre, built for its sound, with live sets on the weekend. Saturday, 22:00, €10. A debut heard the way it was written.
