Free improvisation is the premise. Entropy Five build their pieces in real time, drawing on contemporary jazz, fusion and open playing, so where a tune lands gets decided on the night rather than on a chart. The band treats the interplay between its musicians as the main event.

That makes a small room the right setting for Entropy Five, and Jazzet Cafe in Chaidari is one of the few Athens stages built specifically for jazz, programming live music Friday through Sunday since 2017. Out in the western suburbs, it draws listeners who come for the playing, not the scene. Sunday's set starts at 20:30; tickets €10.
