SPECTRAL x ASTRON with Vardae

Lyon's Vardae works in dub techno's low fog — chords that smear at the edges, percussion angled just off the downbeat. SPECTRAL brings him to Astron, the unmarked Gazi box that holds about 150 people and pours one beer, Alfa. Vardae (Cédric Arnous) releases on Samurai Music and Forest Drive West's OODA label and co-founded the Ouroboros festival; his sets fold dub, tribal patterns and drum'n'bass into techno. The door runs Berlin-lite — singles move faster than groups.
