Three Athens metal bands share the AN Club stage, and between them they cover most of the city's modern metal timeline. Sunlight, formed in Ilioupoli in 2009, plays melodic heavy metal and is touring its album Son of the Sun. The Silent Rage, around since 2006, is the longest-running of the three, also melodic power metal.
