Yiorgos Pantazopoulos Trio

The double bassist who anchors the Wednesday jazz jam at Theatre of the No steps out front of his home stage. Yiorgos Pantazopoulos — Athens-born, trained on jazz double bass at the Ionian University in Corfu — leads his trio through *Some Things I've Never Told You*, his debut album as a leader: five originals and three reworked standards in the classic piano-trio format. Saxophonist Takis Patereli sits in as special guest. The room holds about a hundred, opposite City Hall, close enough that you catch the wood of the bass and not only the amplifier.
