Τα τραγούδια του Θάνου Μικρούτσικου στο Δημοτικό Θέατρο Λυκαβηττού
The songs outlived their composer. Thanos Mikroutsikos spent decades turning poetry into melody — the seafaring verse of Nikos Kavvadias became his album Stavros tou Notou, and the political song of the 1970s and 80s became his signature — and on a July night five voices carry that catalogue up the hill.
Ταξίδι στο φως
On a hill that cars cannot climb on show nights, Stavros Xarchakos raises a baton over a repertoire he has been writing and arranging for six decades. «Ταξίδι στο Φως» is his touring programme through Greek song, which played two sold-out nights at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in 2025 and reaches the Dimotiko Theatro Lykavittou on Saturday 5 September 2026. Giannis Kotsiras and Iro Saia sing; Xarchakos conducts. Take the free municipal shuttle from Sarantapichou Street, which runs 19:00 to 21:30 — private cars are turned back at the foot of the hill, and the climb on foot is steep enough to matter in September heat.

Mikis Theodorakis died on 2 September 2021; five years on, his songs return to the Lycabettus stage on Tuesday 22 September 2026 at 21:00, in a special tribute sung by Thodoris Ferris. Ferris, a mainstream Greek voice, takes on a catalogue that soundtracked the country's politics and its love songs alike. He is joined by Klavdia, Greece's 2025 Eurovision entrant, singer Angelos Theodorakis, and the 28-year-old 'Mikis Theodorakis' Orchestra, with the night produced by Panik Live. Expect the open-air amphitheatre on the hill on one of the last warm nights of the Lycabettus season, cars turned back at the gate and a shuttle running up from Sarantapichou Street.
Μίλτος Πασχαλίδης - Αθήνα
For thirty-one years Miltos Paschalidis has written entechno songs that audiences finish for him without being asked. On Wednesday 23 September 2026 at 21:00 he plays the open-air Dimotiko Theatro Lykavittou, the lit city spread out below the pines. Paschalidis climbs the hill off three sold-out nights at Vravrona.
‘"Η Μουσική είναι Γυναίκα": Ελένη Γουρζή
On Saturday 26 September at 21:15, Μικρός Κεραμεικός hosts "Four Voices, One Story," Eleni Gourzi's retrospective set inside "Η Μουσική Είναι Γυναίκα," ticketed at 16.80 EUR. The retrospective moves through four singers who shaped Greek popular music — Sofia Vembo, Poly Panou, Vicky Moscholiou and Haroula Alexiou — a lineage Gourzi has built her career singing since 2005, after training in vocal technique and graduating in French Philology from the University of Athens. Expect interpretation over impersonation: songbook-deep cuts threaded into a single narrative rather than a greatest-hits set, inside the venue's 32-performance festival of women creators running through 16 October.

Three instruments — electric guitar, acoustic guitar, lute — and one voice carry the Sunday-night set. Giannis Papageorgiou is a Greek songwriter working across fingerpicking, guitar effects, and loop playing; his solo format moves between his own catalogue ("Apo ti Siopi sti Siopi," "Skorpao," the recent "Lakouva" written for Giannis Dionysiou) and songs by Akis Panos, Manos Loizos, and Nikos Papazoglou. At Katafy the material strips to one performer — Papageorgiou's loop pedal carries arrangements where a backing band would normally sit. If you want a polished band, look elsewhere.
Ελένη & Σουζάνα Βουγιουκλή
The Vougioukli sisters return to Theatre of the No with "Roots & Rituals," the program they have brought to this venue before. Eleni and Souzana sing repertoire that crosses Southern Italian ecstatic song, Balkan polyphony, Greek folk material, and the spare end of blues and rebetiko. Theatre of the No holds about 100 people.
Nίκος Ξυδάκης
Nikos Xydakis takes the Half Note stage for two consecutive nights — 24 and 25 April 2027 — closing in on the Mets basement's seasonal shutter date, since Half Note runs October through May and then goes dark for summer. The Greek composer, whose catalogue spans collaborations with Eleftheria Arvanitaki and Sokratis Malamas, frames the residency as a transition from songs to set poems, from improvisations to small confessions.
